Julia Kramer, PhD, MPH

Julia Kramer is an Assistant Professor in the University of Michigan’s Department of Mechanical Engineering. Her research investigates engineering and design approaches to support social justice and promote equity, particularly through the development and investigation of products, services, and systems that improve access to health care in low-resource settings. She also studies and teaches human-centered design methods that support diverse participation in equity-oriented work. Through her research, teaching, and work outside of academia, she aims to apply her design background towards greater health, development, and social equity.
